Jeff Crolick has been coaching youth soccer for 23 years through rec volunteer programs, clinics, clubs and independently. He started his love for soccer at the young age of 8, when he had a choice between the two biggest sports, baseball or soccer. With the biggest soccer star being Pele in the 70's, there was no better player to try and emulate.
Jeff played rec soccer at Fayetteville-Manlius and Cazenovia, modified and JV at Cazenovia, then JV and varsity at FM, where he graduated from in '88. Outside of playing soccer, Jeff also excelled in wrestling, after 6 years in the sport. He went onto Morrisville and then OCC, never experiencing college soccer, taking business and computer courses. He eventually graduated from CESC, with a degree in computer science and development. He has worked for the last 16 years as a service engineer and network coordinator for a printer / office equipment repair company. He holds certifications from HP, Lexmark, Brother, Canon and Sharp.
Though he may have focused on a career in college, he never stopped playing. He has participated in hundreds of pick up soccer games and leagues. He played with high school, college and ex professional American and foreign players over the last 30 years.
Jeff started his coaching career at 25, coaching a rec team. From there, he started a higher level boys U8 team for Eastwood that grew for 2 years. He then went on to start a U10 boys team with a close friend for Styx & KIcks in Minoa. This team stayed together for 7 years, growing into a high level premier team. During that time, the team moved to the Salt City soccer club. A few years after that, Jeff and this same friend took over a girls U12 team from the Blitz, taking them to win two state championships over 3 years.
Jeff is currently an assistant coach with the SDA 05 girls program. Before that, he spent two years with the now defunct USA of Syracuse, coaching the 04/05 combined and 05/06 combined girls teams and a year with the Red & Blacks of Sportcenter481, coaching the 04/05/06 combined team.
