SDA Alumni DJ and Drew Taylor have both carried on their soccer career from Syracuse Development Academy to SUNY Brockport. DJ is a Junior center back and Drew is a Freshman goalkeeper. As student athletes, the two brothers both finished the Fall semester with a 4.0 GPA while balancing their soccer commitments. Taylor Bennett, from the girls ’98 SDA team, has signed a contract with Afturelding, a second division team in the Iceland professional women’s soccer league. Taylor played D1 soccer at Syracuse University, where she was a 4-year starter on the back line, playing center back and helping the team secure 21 shutouts during her career. Gabby is a sophomore at Binghamton University where she plays outside back for the D1 program. During her freshman preseason, she was experiencing tremendous pain in her chest and difficulty breathing.
